Soft Compound: Mickey Thompson has improved their Baja Boss design by offering it in a specifically formatted sticky compound. This tire has been proven to perform under extreme conditions in multiple off-road races including King of the Hammers. Durable Construction: Baja Boss X Radial Tires feature Mickey Thompson’s exclusive PowerPly XD™ 3-ply sidewall. The third ply is angled and had an additional 50% denier cords. This makes the tire puncture resistant while improving handling. Improved Shoulder and Sidewall: Mickey Thompson uses Extreme SideBiters that are 50% larger than the SideBiters on their Baja MTZP3. These aggressive sidewall features improve off-road traction, especially when aired down and rock crawling. Off-Road Performance: When tested off-road, the Baja Boss X Tire out performed other tires in its class, surpassing the BFGoodrich KM3 by the largest margin. The combination of silica and the optimized tread pattern provide traction, even on wet hill climbs.
