The Mopar Standard Open-Differential Assembly is the factory replacement for the non-locking open unit found in the front of your Wrangler JL. This differential carrier is made to accommodate the factory gear ratio of 3.45 :1, and those numerically lower. If you are looking to increase your Wrangler's tire diameter and are in the market for stronger gears, then you will need to change the carrier to one that accepts gear ratios 3.73 and higher.
