That's why they've developed the KTA-30FW Four Channel Tough Pack Amplifier. What's the reasoning behind developing this waterproof amp? You: the customer. They've taken the feedback from countless Jeep owners and enthusiasts that drive off road through tougher dustier terrain and trails, all the way to owners that are simply just looking for protection against the elements when they put their top down. The IP66 rating means it's safe against dust, dirt, puddles, and precipitation. Alpine made sure this amp will be able to hold its own when you and your Wrangler brave the elements. Another big feature that Alpine has incorporated into their Tough Pack Amps is their proprietary DPP, or Dynamic Pulse Power, technology. DPP quickly increases the internal gain level of the amplifier when it encounters louder and more abrupt audio signals. When the amplifier recognizes the boost in signal, the gain is raised effectively doubling the required amount of power.
