Its a simple impeller design driven by a pulley and belt, but over time, can be stressed out and bad bearings can cause the internal components to turn unevenly. To make sure that you are not starving the steering box of the fluid it needs and keep your steering pump in good working order. This pump comes with the pulley pre-installed at the factory for an easy installation.
