The Mopar Locking Fuel Tank Cap is an added layer of protection for your JK Wrangler, so someone cannot just come along and spin your cap off. When the cylinder is disengaged the cap just spins freely. Insert the ignition key into the cap, grip the cap firmly and turn the key. Now that your cap is engaged you can fill your tank. The cylinder for this cap does not come coded to your key, so you will have to take this to a professional to have keyed.
